US State Department’s Travel Warning – What does it mean for Cabo?

There has been many discussions about Mexico being dangerous due to the ongoing drug-related violence, and that Americans should stay out of Mexico.  Cabo San Lucas Villas want to ensure the safety of ALL of our villa friends, and thinks it important that you know that Cabo is 100% safe!  Cabo San Lucas is NOT on the US State Departments map warning to stay away from Mexico!  Furthermore, we think it is extremely important for you understand who is on the list, and that Mexico as a whole is a safe and pristine travel destination.     We have attached a map, so you can see which areas are safe, and which areas are recommended to stay away.

As always, travelers should always use common sense when traveling to any destination.  For example, leave expensive jewelry at home, never continue down a dark alley, stay within the public eye, avoid scam artist or someone trying to sell you a guide/tour, never discuss travel plans with a stranger, keep a low profile,  and purses should be worn across your chest if possible.  These are all common sense points that are good to have on hand wherever you are in the world, including the United States.

Cabo San Lucas Villas wants every guest to feel safe while visiting Cabo!  We will ALWAYS do our part to bring you the latest information regarding safety in Cabo and Mexico.  Please take a peek of our portfolio to see which villa will make you feel at home when on vacation at www.cabosanlucasvillas.net.  We look forward to serving you soon!
