Cabo Fishing

How good is the fishing in Cabo San Lucas?
It is so good that even before the first roads were built between California and Cabo, the Cabo San Lucas area had already earned a well-deserved reputation as being one of the top sportsfishing spots in the world. The Sea of Cortez offers a rare combination of abundant, diverse marine life densely populated in a relatively small geographic area of the ocean. As a result, you can experience a “hot spot” on the water almost anywhere in the region, and never be too far removed from other well-known and exciting Cabo Destinations, Villas, and Resorts.

Do you book entries for Cabo Fishing Tournaments?
Yes we do. We coordinate entries in the world’s most famous competitions that offer both the novice and experienced angler the best opportunities to catch an abundance of fish and win an even greater abundance of prize money. You do not have to be an expert in fishing—just serious about it—to get started competing in Cabo tournaments.
The season here begins in July and runs through October. Bisbee hosts three of its most coveted tournaments during this time: the East Cape Offshore, The Los Cabos San Lucas, and Bisbee’s Black & Blue. Last year, the top winner in the Los Cabos Offshore Tournament went home with $114,462.00, while the winning team in the Black and Blue Tournament took home $2,234,035.00.

We expect even greater results in 2009.

What types of fish species are abundant in Cabo waters?
Three major marlin species top the popularity charts here: black marlin, blue marlin, and striped marlin. Other sought after species include Dorado (Mahi Mahi) and Yellowfin Tuna.

Anytime you come down to Cabo, the fishing is good for any number of these species. The best time to come is during tournament season, of course.

What types of Cabo fishing boats do you charter?
Our boats are categorized as either Sports Fishing Charters or Fishing Yachts. Charter boats can be anywhere from 24-45 feet in length, and they are built for angler with a 100% focus on fishing itself. Basic amenities are provided along with state-of-the-art fishing equipment. Parties of up to 8 persons can be booked on the larger boats at prices as low as $529.00 on up to
$2,590.00.

A Cabo fishing yacht is built for those willing to pay more and experience not only great Cabo fishing, but a truly opulent day on the water. These yachts offer all-inclusive amenities including full climate control, entertainment systems, and luxurious bedrooms. Here, you can experience the full gamut of top-notch fishing equipment combined will human creature comforts as you cruise the ocean on a vessel that can be over 100 feet in length

Prices range from just over $2,000.00 to $5,000.00 for our largest vessel.

Should I book a Cabo fishing trip now in the middle of a recession?
Of course you should. Fish do not use money and live in an environment that provides them will a continually renewing and free food supply. Many just open their mouths and swim into their food. No matter how hungry you think you might become in the next few months, chances are you will not starve, and neither will the fish.

When it comes to Cabo fishing, there is no such thing as a recession other than than a low tide on the beach.
