Marlin Master I Wins Bisbee Offshore Fishing Tournament in Cabo San Lucas
After an hour and twenty minutes in the fighting chair, Angler Richard Saccaro pulled in the second largest Marlin in Bisbee Tournament history. Juan Ramirez Soto was captain of the Marlin Master I, a 38' Bertram Mark III, during the event. The record setting Blue Marlin landed a $22,932 cash prize. At 870 lbs. the Marlin was so large that it had to be towed to shore. In the last 3 years at the Bisbee tournament a Hi5 custom lure has been used to catch two record setting fish. These lures are also locally made in Cabo San Lucas. We work with Marlin Masters often for great sportfishing adventures. Want to set your own record? Book your dream fishing trip today by calling 1-800-364-9301 and you can say with arms wide “I caught a fish this big”.

Sunset Cruise on the Rissalena
Talk about incredibly romantic, therapeutic, and splendid! I took a 2 hour Cabo cruise on the immaculate Rissalena. My first time on a boat, my first time on the water in fact- and it was absolutely perfect. Arriving to the marina was an adventure. I had never seen so many boats in my life. When we finally located the Rissalena, Captain Eduardo Padilla and his assistant were ever so welcoming. They prepared the best margarita I have ever had-none of this sweet and sour mix. It was made with real limes, lots of salt, nice and strong-my mouth is watering now as it’s all coming back to me! The catamaran was exquisite. It was so white, so clean, so pretty! I knew I was in for a great adventure. 2 more couples joined us and then we were off. The whole time, Captain Eduardo was telling us about history of Cabo, San Lucas, pointing out new developments, telling us about the hot spots. He was very entertaining and funny. We stopped at The Lover’s Beach where he allowed us to break bread into small pieces and throw it into the water to watch all sorts of beautiful, colorful fish jump out to dine. As we continued, we came across the infamous Arch. Not too far from the Arch, there was one solitary rock graced by a very talented and singing sea lion. Captain Eduardo said they paid him a monthly salary to sing to us!! It was so much fun. Right before sunset, they had prepared a delicious dinner for us – Mexican rice, chips and guacamole, short ribs, roasted chicken, an amazing mixed green salad and more margaritas. I was in heaven. But wait, the best is yet to come. There I was snapping pictures, talking, laughing, cherishing every moment when they began to play “Con te partiro” featuring Andrea Bocelli and Sara Brightman. I was sold!! The sunset was beautiful, the couples were falling in love all over again and I was sipping my margarita and wishing I had someone there to share this perfect moment with. Awwww. It’s sappy I know, but this was a very special event for me. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone and I would do it a million times over. I can’t even begin to imagine how wonderful this cruise is during whale season. I guess there is only one way to find out. See you then!!
