March 2004 spring break has come and gone for most of us. We welcomed so many new and return guests this year who were looking for a bit of heaven on earth we call Cabo San Lucas! We have many foreigners coming in the few months who have never visited Cabo. What to do while visiting Cabo San Lucas
It seems that most people come to Cabo San Lucas because it is always warm, the sea is always blue and very few places in North America are this laid back. But if you’re looking for something to do well…
Cabo San Lucas is renowned for world class fishing, no matter what month of the year, and for its championship golf. There are miles of desert trails and golden sand dunes to explore with ATV’s or how about attempting a climb up to the 7,000 foot peaks of the La Laguna mountains. There are also off-road tours into the desert and visits to local glass blowing artisans at work.Try snorkeling or diving in that sandy bottom swimming pool they call the Sea of Cortez or spend the morning lounging on your balcony watching a pod of whales play slap the tail and bob in and out of the water.
Visitors enjoy a growing roster of adventure laden activities and the nightlife is as hot as the desert in July!
The perfect day in Cabo begins by taking a water taxi from the marina to nearby Lover’s Beach. It only costs a couple of dollars and the experience is more than worth it. The beach, surrounded by magnificent rock formations that make up the Cabo Arch, straddles the very end of the Baja. You can be paddling in the Pacific Ocean, take a few steps and then go snorkeling in the Sea of Cortes. Cap off the day with a sunset cruise out of the marina on an 1885 tall ship called the Sunderland.
If beaches and water are not the only venue of interest, then there is always the tees. Cabo San Lucas is becoming recognized as one of the best golfing destinations in all of Mexico, with local courses designed by such legendary golfers as Nicklaus, Trent Jones II and Dye.
